How Can I Help You?
Professional Web Design and Redesign

Whether you have a solid idea for what you want your web site to be, need to give your site an overhaul to bring it up to date or just know that you need a web site, I will be delighted to work with you to design and create exactly the web site that you want.

Your site can be anything from a simple single page to establish an internet presence and provide contact details to a complex site with many pages created dynamically from a database. Your unique web site will be designed and written to fulfil your unique requirements whatever they may be.
Quality
"To strive for perfection is to succeed; to attain perfection is to fail." – Zen proverb

I don’t believe in second best, why should you?
I believe in quality. You deserve the best quality. Quality in design, quality in production and quality in service.
I promise always to provide the best quality that I can. And to keep trying to improve upon that.

I don’t charge by the hour partly because not doing so allows me to take the time to ensure that every part of your website is of the highest quality. This also prevents the embarrassment of having to either give you an unreasonably large bill or of trying to convince you that what I have delivered couldn’t be better when I know it could.
Service

It’s not only the quality of the website that’s important, it’s also the quality of the service that’s provided.
The most important person in any business transaction is not the provider of the service, it’s the recipient. You. My job is to make you happy. I do that by designing and building the website that you want and are happy with.
Accessibility and Usability

Accessibility is about making sure that any site can be used by anybody regardless of ability or equipment. This is covered in UK law by the Disability Discrimination Act 1995. The part of the Act that states that web sites must be accessible has been in force since 1999. Although no prosecutions have yet been brought against web site owners in the UK, there is always the possibility of it happening.

An accessible web site also ensures that you are not missing out on potential customers due to your web site being unusable and whilst creating an accessible web site is a little more work initially, the cost of lost customers could well be much higher in the long term.

For more information on accessible web sites, please read this information on the legal case for accessible web sites from the the RNIB Web Access Centre.

The guidelines for accessibility are published by the international Web Accessibility Initiative and have recently been updated to version 2. A quick reference guide to the new guidelines has been published.

These issues can be addressed relatively easily during the initial design phase for a web site but can be much more difficult and lengthy to implement afterwards especially for badly written code.
Cost

You may think this is the most important section. You may well be right. So why don’t I quote my prices here?

Your needs are unique to you. Each website is unique. Every web site I design and build is tailored to your needs, however simple or complex those needs may be. I won’t even attempt to give you a price before I discuss with you what your needs and expectations are. After this discussion, I will give you a detailed proposal in writing showing exactly what I will provide for you and quoting the cost. You won’t pay a penny for this whether the proposal is accepted or not.

I would rather complete a project at a set price than charge by the hour as this way both parties have a fixed price to work to. Any additional work agreed after the initial proposal and price have been agreed will be for an agreed additional cost.
